Transformation

Another year has gone by and it is summer. Many changes have taken place large changes, the kind of changes that one can rate as "most stressful."  I can say that despite the stresses of a new blended family, buying a new home and moving in December, going down four dress sizes with the help of my sister, and helping my aging parents; I can say life has been good....the best!

My hope is to offer a transparency to living in balance, finding harmony in snippets and a pockets of creativity along the way. As you may see I wear several hats while doing a tightrope act. I am mother (of daughters, step mother(for practical purposes), partner, daughter, artist teacher and ex-wife. This is a "plate is full" status as I know some of you out there may identify with.
Despite all of this, I cannot control my yearning to create artistically, and it does not have to be in the form of a traditional painting it could be in the form of food, gardening, environment, product design, photography or any other little venue that it chooses.  I am the servant of my Muse.

The Lotus is the symbol of transformation. The plant itself takes root in the murky bottom of the water. The roots in the decaying matter of past lives. The plant grows through the water knowing where the sun and warmth is. Once on the surface it flowers beautifully.
